Position Summary
Adobe's XD (Experience Design) team is seeking a full-time Senior Experience Design contractor to join our document product and services team for a mission critical project. You need to be a visionary and a thought-leader who is able to look at the big picture, from a user experience, technology, and business standpoint, and is not afraid to step outside the box to deliver a compelling user experience. You should also possess strong strategic, creative and planning skills that enable you to effectively communicate, negotiate and drive design solutions into the products and services. 
Contract Length: 6+ months design contractor position. Could potentially lead to a permanent position.

Location: Boston, New York, San Francisco, or San Jose.

Major Responsibilities
This position will report to an XD design manager, and collaborate closely with a newly-formed “Document Innovation Product” team (consisting of an entrepreneur-in-residence and a few developers) based in Boston office. The mission is to explore & identify potential product & service opportunities 18-24 months ahead, and eventually build up proof-of-concept prototypes. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, in drafting & brainstorming initial concepts, and convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, presentation deck, or even video.
Requirements
  • A passionate experience designer, a subject-matter expert, with a proven track record of great designs and strategy that meet user needs, product requirements, and business goals.
  • At least 5 years of design industry experience.
  • Experience working in design consultancy or advertising agency should be a good fit.
  • Experience creating innovative digital interface design solutions for mobile and hand-held devices, as well as Web, and/or desktop applications.
  • BA/BFA degree in design related field, with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, graphic design, visual communication, multimedia, or advertising.
  • Skilled in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, After Effects, Premiere, Keynote, etc.
  • Familiarity with HTML5/CSS3 a plus. Coding experience is a plus but not must.
  • Comfortable working in a loosely defined agile and lean design environment. 
  • Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight timeline.
  • Ability to proficiently facilitate brainstorming sessions, cultivate creative thinking process, create compelling presentation deck or  video, and able to give articulate idea pitches.
